Glass and Windshield Replacement
All glasswork is performed in-house! And there are major differences between OEM and aftermarket glass. We ONLY USE OEM.
Overview
Today’s windshields aren’t like they used to be. There’s a ton of structure involved in the glass you choose to install, and if not installed properly – or an inferior quality of glass is installed, your safety may be compromised.
And also of huge importance: your Automated Driver Assist System (ADAS) is a very high-tech system that has explicit parameters that must be met by the glass installed. And by definition, aftermarket glass is not – cannot be – the same as OEM.
The Differences between OEM and Aftermarket Glass
- Quality of structure: OEM windshields are often made of higher quality materials and are more likely to fit the vehicle correctly
- Made specifically for your vehicle: OEM is made by the same manufacturer that made the original windshield for the vehicle, while aftermarket glass is often one size for multiple vehicles – and that can cause issues with fit and ability to properly calibrate your ADAS.
